We invite you to our first summer in the north-west of France, and the Celtic region of Brittany. We will be based in the beautiful, small central village of Mellionnec, where we’ll be staying in a large gite named A La Belle Etoile (The Beautiful Star). The gite was renovated in 2022 and was formerly an old presbytery but is now a beautiful and modern auberge, situated in this small, alternative and progressive community in the lush, green summer Breton countryside.
This holiday will be a mix of what we consider to be the best activities and experiences from our adventure and culture holidays in Brittany.
If you like the idea of exploring this stunning region but also fancy trying your hand at a couple of the adventure activities, this could be just what you are looking for. We will be stimulating your cultural side with visits to the Chateau de Josselin as well as hitting the beach on the Quiberon peninsula via the Tire-Bouchon train. Plus, we’ll be enjoying the local wolf refuge and taking in a quirky visit to the Univers du Poète Ferrailleur or in English ‘The Universe of the Poet’s Junkyard!’
And from the adventure holiday, we will be testing your archery accuracy and getting our feet wet (but hopefully nothing else!) whilst kayaking on the nearby Lake Guerlédan.
