What's to get excited about!

Our ‘Best of’ summer holidays prove very popular. They give our guests a taste of all the summer holidays available, a bit like Queen’s Greatest Hits or Abba Gold. Based in the auberge A La Belle Etolie, (Under the Stars) in central Brittany, we will explore the beautiful French region with some magnificent activities.

Plucked from the Adventure holiday, we will take to the water on kayaks with a guided tour of nearby Lake Guerledan, a beautiful, refreshing outing with lots of fun. Another activity from the Adventure Holiday is archery. How many balloons can you pop with your deadly aim!

Shifting down a gear to the relaxing Culture summer holiday. First up a trip to the local wolf refuge which offers sanctuary to 19 wolves from all over the world, set in a deep, green forest. Then, it is off to the strange and inspiring world of The Poets Junkyard, a Tim Burton crossed with Dr. Suess art installation, consisting of crazy buildings, eccentric statues and eccentric games!

Finally, we have served up a popular activity from our Gourmande holiday, a food tour. We will take you around a local town, showing you the sights whilst at the same time you taste the local culinary delights on offer in downtown Brittany.

Where you'll be staying...

In the heart of Brittany is the village of Mellionnec. In the centre of this village is an auberge. This is where we will be based, in the auberge À la belle étoile, a recently renovated accommodation. It has been designed to accommodate all types of people, including summer groups like ours.

Food, glorious food!

All of our food will be lovingly prepared and cooked by our wonderful chef, Helen.

What you'll experience...

We will meet at a London airport and you will be supported on the flight to Rennes Airport in France. Our mini-buses will take you on the 1 hour 45-minute drive to the auberge.

Ininerary

Day 1 – Travel from London to Brittany, travel to our accommodation via mini bus, settle in.

Day 2 – Kayaking

Day 3 – Archery

Day 4 – Visit the wolf refuge

Day 5 – Rest Day.

Day 6 – Visit the Universe of the Poets Junkyard

Day 7 – Brittany Food tour.

Day 8 – Drive back to Rennes Airport for flight back to London.

Your holiday will include the following:

  • 7 night, full board accommodation.
  • All entrance fees to all activities and sites.
  • Airport transfers and transport in and around Brittany.
  • Return flight from London to Rennes, accompanied and supported by our Go Beyond team.
  • A ratio of 2 guests to 1 Go Beyond support staff member.
