A small subtropical volcanic island in the North Atlantic, Madeira is a Portuguese outpost and known for its lush green forests, black pebble beaches and crystal-clear waters.
Join us on our stay at the exotic Dom Pedro Garajou Hotel (which hosts two swimming pools), near the capital Funchal.
On this relaxing holiday, we will take time to discover its character in a variety of ways. We will take a kayak out around the nearby beaches, explore the island with a short trek accompanied by a mountain guide, visit the natural Muniz swimming pools in the north of the island, take a boat trip out to see some whales and dolphins and learn more about the historic centre of Funchal with an art museum visit.
Oh, and one of our days will just be us relaxing around the hotel pools. Bliss!
Where you'll be staying...
Dom Pedro Garajau, a 3-star aparthotel, offers a peaceful escape between Funchal and Caniço.
The hotel has a heated indoor pool and two outdoor pools.
Nearby, you’ll find Garajau Beach, a great place to relax by the Atlantic.
Food, glorious food!
There is a wonderful restaurant based in the hotel where we will be eating, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant has a terrace that looks over the central pool.
What you'll experience...
We will meet at a London airport and you will be supported on the flight to the C Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport in Madeira. Our mini-buses will take you on the 15-minute drive to the hotel.
